My heart aches
with such pain
I fail to describe
My chest heaves
with hot, trapped sighs
Throughout the day
I try to blink these tears back
but they blur out the light
and they fall at night
Drowning me
In a dark bottomless ocean

My hands reach
but only grasp invisible dreams
My feet move
but only to step on another thorn
Oh, and I fear
falling once more
for the ground holds
a strong sense of comfort
that I know
I won't be able to fight
this time....
